オーストラリアで保育士ライフ＿気になる保育士の賃金は？（2024）

今年も最低賃金引き上げのニュースが入ってきました。上昇率は昨年の5.75％から3.75％へ減少。様々なところで生活費の値上げが続いているので、苦しい思いをしているオーストラリア国民は少なくないはず。

これからチャイルドケアで働くことを考えている人にとっては、この記事は分かりやすくこの業界の雇用形態が説明されています。賃金に関しては、今回の7月の変更は反映されていないので、次の「チャイルドケア・保育士の賃金」の項目を参考にしてください。
チャイルドケア・保育士の賃金
チャイルドケアで勤務する保育士はChildren's Services Award 2010、Early Childhood Teachers (ECT’s) はEducational Services Teachers Award 2010に賃金が規定されています。
発表があった通り、Children's Services AwardとEducational Services Teachers Awardも、7月から最低賃金が3.75%引き上げられます。
Certificate Ⅲ 資格のある方
(Level 3.1 - full time/Part time) 時給 $26.18 から $27.17 に引き上げ。
Diploma 資格のある方
(Level 4.1 - full time/Part time) 時給 $30.84 から $32.00に引き上げ。
(Level 3.4 - full time/Part time) 時給 $29.48 から $30.59 に引き上げ（*Diploma Qualified Assistant Educator）。
カジュアル雇用の場合
フルタイムやパートタイムと違って有給休暇や病気休暇、シフトが不定＝収入保証が無いので、最低賃金にCasual loading 25％ が上乗せされます。
例) Certificate Ⅲ: $33.96、Diploma: $40
18歳以下のジュニア
上記とは別に、18歳未満の勤務者に対しては「Junior」枠で賃金が定められています。
知っておきたいことーチャイルドケア編
Broken shift allowance
1日のシフトが2つに分かれている場合「Broken shift allowance」というお手当が付きます。私は、朝と夕方に分けてシフト組まれたことがありました。スクールキッズのケアBefore & After School careの時間帯のお仕事。
"Where an employee works two separate shifts in a day, they will be paid an allowance of 1.91% of the standard rate per day for each day on which a broken shift is worked."
Non-contact time
グループリーダーには最低週2時間「Non-contact time」が勤務時間中に割り当てられる規定があります。これは、レッスン計画や準備、レポート作成に充てる時間。子どもたちがいない別室で作業します。もし、あなたがグループリーダーなのにNon-contact timeが無かったとしたら違法です。延長に話すか、誰かに相談しましょう。
"An employee responsible for the preparation, implementation and/or evaluation of a developmental program for an individual child or group of children will be entitled to a minimum of two hours non-contact time per week. During non-contact time, an employee will not be required to supervise children or perform other duties as directed by the employer."
